BoreSaver: Water Supply & Well Rehabilitation

BoreSaver is an approved range of specialist treatments for water supply systems contaminated with iron bacteria, iron oxide, manganese oxide and calcium carbonate deposits.

The treatments completely remove the deposits that build up and cause blockages in wells, pipes, pumps and any other water related equipment. Developed to achieve maximum flow capacity, the BoreSaver range also improves water supply quality and extends the working life of pumping equipment and associated plant.

The BoreSaver treatments are safe, easy to use, biodegradable and environmentally friendly. They can be used without dismantling equipment and will not attack or deteriorate any materials inside the system.

Tried and tested, the BoreSaver range is approved for use in the UK in potable water supplies by the Secretary of State and BoreSaver Ultra C is certified by the NSF in America for use in potable water.

The BoreSaver treatments are used as part of a systematic rehabilitation programme that is one of the most effective ways of completely removing deposits and controlling iron bacteria contamination. The treatments are specially formulated chemical blends and are based on leading, independent research and supported by a range of case studies.

Developed over ten years ago by Aquabiotics Industrial, the BoreSaver range is now exported to over fourteen countries worldwide.

The BoreSaver treatments are used in private and public water supplies and in the mining, landfill, agricultural and horticultural sectors. They are also widely used by commercial organisations that need a consistent, trouble-free supply of water for their processes.

Typical applications for the BoreSaver range include geothermal, pipelines, water supply wells, quarrying, mining, leachate pumping, irrigation and remediation. In fact, BoreSaver treatments are used wherever there are residues that affect the output and flow of the water supply.

How to use BoreSaver
BoreSaver treatments are added directly to the water system and the amount to use is based on the volume of water. The treatment works directly on the problem, loosening and dissolving the deposits and related contamination. Any of the standard rehabilitation methods are then used, including surging and brushing, air-lifting and pump-in recycling, to safely pump the deposits and contamination away.

BoreSaver Ultra C

Removes iron and manganese oxide deposits and controls iron bacteria contamination.

BoreSaver Ultra C is supplied in granular form and is a specially formulated proprietary blend of monohydrates and organic acids based on leading independent research. One of its key components, oxalic acid, is a naturally occurring organic acid which is biodegradable. A range of commercial case studies demonstrate the effectiveness of BoreSaver Ultra C.

BoreSaver Ultra C Pro

Removes iron and manganese oxide deposits and controls iron bacteria contamination.

BoreSaver Ultra C Pro, is an enhanced cleaning treatment that completely removes iron oxide deposits found in wells, bores, pipes and pumps. It also maximizes the control of iron bacteria.

BoreSaver IKL Pro

Removes calcium carbonate and related deposits.

It is also suitable for combination problems where iron and/or manganese oxide deposits are also present. Use where high levels of manganese oxide deposits only are present.

BoreSaver IKL Pro is supplied as a concentrate liquid and is a specially formulated proprietary chemical blend of acids with a non-ionic surfactant which promotes emulsions.

BoreSaver Liquid Enhancer

BoreSaver Liquid Enhancer can be added to the entire BoreSaver range for a more powerful treatment process or it can be used on its own as a controlled maintenance treatment in specialist situations.

BoreSaver Liquid Enhancer is supplied as a liquid concentrate and is an aqueous proprietary blend with bacteriostatic properties. It is used where a greater iron bacteria control is required (for example where the bacteria are particularly active and the contamination is comprehensive) or in a sensitive installation where quality of supply and flow is critical.
