It is available exclusively in the UK from Geoquip Water Solutions. Described as “the next generation” of motors, the HES is the only submersible system of its kind on the market. Thanks to its Permanent Magnet Motors, it delivers energy saving efficiencies of up to 21% when compared to standard asynchronous motors and promises a return on investment within two years. Embedded software allows customers to see straight away what their payback period will be.
In consideration of environmental relief and energy saving Franklin Electric E-tech developed a High Efficiency 6" Submersible Borehole System, consisting of a synchronous submersible NEMA motor associated variable frequency drive and output filter.

The Franklin Electric E-Tech High Efficiency Submersible Borehole System is currently available in sizes up to 150kW across three motor sizes (4”, 6” and 8). It also comes with a solar-powered version – the Franklin Electric E-Tech SOLAR, available in the same size range.
The range is best suited for any borehole installation where energy efficiency is a priority. However, the 4” size is especially suited in geothermal and/or domestic markets where there may be lower flow levels.
The HES fits perfectly within open loop ground source heat pump installations, where its clever technology reduces the amount of parasitic energy required to run the pumping equipment.
Geoquip and the Franklin Electric team have worked closely together to install the HES on a number of projects, including a large London teaching hospital.
